We had EVERY intention of putting in new underground fence for the dogs today, but our friend who is VERY good at talking us OUT of responsibilities talked us into fishing. It was a BEAUTIFUL day so we really couldn't pass up the chance...and it's a GOOD thing we did!!!
I quite literally have never landed a smallmouth bass this big ever in my life. Tim had caught his (below) approximately 1 minute after dropping his line in, and we all just about crapped our pants. Less than twenty minutes later, I got this!!! It was so much fun to land this! I had 6lb test on my rod and I was so scared I wasn't going to get it! Pat had to try 4 times to get it in the net and was panicking because he thought he had knocked it off my line!!
We had to put them back because you can't keep smallmouth at this time of year--otherwise they would BOTH be on the LIVING ROOM wall right next to each other!!
So here's me kissing it cause I was so excited!! (I als really love the angle Tim used on this pic...)
And here's one of the probably 30 we have of me holding it. It was so heavy and the belly was so fat I was scared to hold it near the tail cause I was scared it would slip out of my hands! (I have a fear of losing a fish after I land it)
This is Tim's he got right away....the funny thing was he was the most resistent to go out fishing--yea, I'd say he was pretty happy he went....
Look at it in the net!!! We all just about fell over when we saw the FIRST fish we got for the day was this!!!!
We also got some really nice walleye that also tasted really yummy for dinner....We're EXHAUSTED and sunburned and very happy.....

What happens on the 1st 70 degree day with no kiddie pool...
Before I get into Maya's antics, here's one last one from the beach.....
Maya decided it was hot and she needed to lay in the PUDDLE in our yard--which was virtually ALL MUD....
Several hours later....she was so caked I had to give her a bath and a SCRUB away....

BUT....she had fun and that's all that counts, right????

Random shots from the llast few days....
So it's been nice out and I've been randomly taking pictures....
I just love driftwood on the beach at Lake Superior...I really really really wish I had photoshop to play with these more....but alas I don't....so here ya have it....
The dogs thought I was the GREATEEST thing EVER when I brought them home bones the other day....They raced to the door to fight over them for DAYS...
I was working at home outside and the dogs and cats were just lOVIN the sun....I just thought this was cute....cause the cat just puts up with ANYthing from these two...
Some more driftwood--someone had made a little house....I thought it was cute!
More to come of the antics of Maya that will soon probably be a scrapbook page...

A second Term!!!!
Well, the Design team call is over for Treasured Scrapbooking and I'm just THRILLED because Leslie asked me to do another term!! This place is seriously the friendliest places on the face of the planet! I have learned so much about myself and pushed my scrapbooking in ways I never thought I would being on this team! So of course I said YES!

They've got spring fever too...
Well, the dogs are getting really tired of the cold too.....this is what they look like in the mornings when they go outside and the sun is actually shining!!!

They also decided that it was NECESSARY to hang out in the GIANT puddles in our driveway!!! I think they're telling us it's WAY past time to go swimming!!!

Day at the zoo!
Well we went to the zoo today for work and I had a blast taking pictures--about 300 to be exact...so here's just a few of what I got.
I didn't have a tripod so these are all freehand and thru glass or fences. The only one I was able to shoot without some sort of barrier were the peacocks. I'm pretty pleased with the results!! Once I get photoshop I want to learn how to get the fence lines out and clean up the glass...

This is my FAVORITE from the day!!! Our zoo got some new lion cubs and they were absolute HAMS for the camera!!! Once kept putting on a "show" for us so I got a lot of great ones of her looking right at us!
